Frequently Asked Questions

  • I primarily train clients at Pure Gym Folkestone, which offers a comprehensive range of cardio and resistance equipment. This provides the perfect environment for a structured workout. However, I am a firm believer that fitness should fit your lifestyle. If the gym isn't for you, feel free to enquire about home visits or outdoor training in the Folkestone area.

  • Absolutely. Most people struggle with commitment because they try to do too much, too soon. My approach is about movement that supports your mental health and feels sustainable. I focus on exercise as a tool to help you feel stronger, calmer, and more connected to yourself—without the guilt or extremes. We build the routines together so that fitness becomes a natural part of your life, not a chore.

  • I believe you should enjoy your training before making a big commitment. I offer discounted taster and initial sessions so we can see if we’re a good fit. If you decide to continue, I provide a monthly subscription for 1-on-1 personal training, which helps build the consistency needed for lifelong wellness while keeping your payments simple.

  • My primary focus is on physical movement and mental well-being. While I don’t hold specialist nutrition qualifications to provide meal plans, I can certainly suggest nutritional habits as part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. My goal is to help you find a sustainable "life well-lived" rather than a restrictive diet - because we have enough going on in life without worrying about calroie counting!

  • Not at all. This is "Feel Good" personal training for everyone. While physical changes are a natural byproduct of movement, we don't focus on "before and after" photos here. We focus on how you feel. If you want movement that enhances your life for the long run and helps you find fitness for life, you are in the right place.

  • After the initial consultation we’ll discuss the right plan for you to achieve your goals. I charge £50 per 60 minute session and average this out across the 52 weeks in a year. For example, if we were to agree one in-person session a week, the monthly subscription would be £217 to allow for months where there are 4 sessions, and the odd month when there’s 5. This keeps payments simple and consistent, allowing us to focus on the fitness, rather than the finance. Monthly subscriptions include comprehensive programming for your own self directed exercises.

  • As a Level 3 Qualified Personal Trainer based at Pure Gym Folkestone, my mission is to provide movement that genuinely enhances your life, rather than adding to its stresses. I specialize in Women’s Health and sustainable Weight Training, focusing on building functional strength and mental resilience for the long run. Because I believe in fitness as a tool for longevity, I also hold a specialist qualification in training for individuals using GLP-1 medications, ensuring you maintain vital muscle mass and health while navigating your journey safely. Using the full range of cardio and resistance equipment at Pure Gym Folkestone, I adapt every session to your unique goals—moving away from fleeting "before and afters" to focus on your long-term wellness. Together, we’ll use expert-led movement to help you feel stronger, calmer, and more connected to yourself, building a sustainable routine within the Folkestone community that supports a life well-lived.

  • Yes, I hold a specific qualification in training for individuals undergoing GLP-1 medication. While these medications are powerful tools for health, they can often lead to a loss of lean muscle mass if not paired with the right movement. At Pure Gym Folkestone, I use a "longevity-first" approach to help you protect your strength and metabolic health. We focus on resistance training and functional movement to ensure that your progress is sustainable and that you feel energized, rather than depleted. My goal is to help you use exercise as a partner to your medication—building a body that feels stronger, calmer, and more capable for the long run.
